Evil needs incompetence to survive
If the rumors are true Mark Carney will call an election today. Primarily because of Donald Trump the political discussion is now centered on tariffs and taxes. Those are important issues to be sure, but they are not the only issues. Taxes are not the only tool government uses to destroy lives. Canadians need to be reminded how governments turned cold and flu season into a weapon.
COVID was a crime. Some in government were part of the plan while others were just useful idiots. Not all the useful idiots were in government and some of the non-governmental useful idiots apologized for their reprehensible actions.
When I think of my selfishness in those first few weeks of covid, I am ashamed. I am ashamed because frankly, I stopped thinking about others. This was the big lie that we told ourselves – that the restrictions were about helping other people.
But not a single useful idiot in government has apologized for what they did. Canadians should be demanding accountability, but they are not. The useful idiots in the Government are unrepentant and still wield authority.
Why does nobody want to talk about the most tragic breakdown of leadership and ethics in our lifetimes?
To understand why the pandemic finally forced us to address institutional failure, we must acknowledge the facts. The virus didn’t cause lockdowns. Human beings decided to impose lockdowns, which failed to stop the deaths and the spread. Lockdowns inflicted massive damage on children and literally killed people.
We are lurching from crisis to crisis and the people who have caused every one of them are still in power.
After what Canadians went through over the last 5 years this election should be about more than just Donald Trump. It should be about complete governmental reform. That means talking about uncomfortable truths. This is a much more difficult and ultimately more important discussion than the simplistic “orange man bad” narrative.
Canadians need to do something that they usually refuse to do; confront reality. The reality is that our current governments are so incompetent that we can’t afford to eliminate money laundering.
Ahmed says the real reason federal and provincial governments have not made a significant dent in the laundering of dirty money is, basically, because they like the cash in the economy.
Canadian governments are so incompetent that our economy can’t survive without economic activity associated with organized crime. Do you remember voting for that? This level of incompetence allows evil within government to thrive. What happened during COVID could not have happened if we had even a single competent government in the country. Without useful idiots, evil is powerless.
If you want Canada to continue to struggle and underperform focus on Donald Trump this election. If you want to get out from under evil, focus on government competence and accountability. Canada’s real enemies are not in Mar-a-Lago. They are in Ottawa and the provincial capitals. Get rid of the useful idiots and evil will have nowhere to hide.
