An audit of American government COVID relief funds has already found $276 billion dollars of fraud.  That is not surprising since the whole purpose of government manufactured emergencies is fraud.  The only thing that made COVID different from previous fake emergencies was size.  COVID lockdowns resulted in unprecedented increases in government spending which in turn spawned unprecedented levels of fraud.  It really is an issue of scale; spend billions to steal millions or spend trillions to steal billions.

Joe Biden spent Trillions because no one stopped him.  That allowed him to steal billions and give it to wealthy friends.  Those wealthy friends tried to maximize their ill-gotten gains by investing it. That is where the trouble started.  It turns out that investing when the economy is shut down means giving your money to companies that can’t spend it.  They put it in the bank who also can’t find any good use for it so they invest in government bonds.  The whole stupid enterprise then collapses when the Fed raises interest rates.

That in a nutshell is how the Silicon Valley Bank died of COVID.

During the pandemic, fluffy money, made from nothing by Big Government to “save the economy” was put into stupid businesses to “save the planet”. The businesses put their cash into Silicon Valley Bank, which got so much cash, it couldn’t do anything with half of it — except give it back to Big-Government in the form of a loan called a Treasury Bond — thus completing one full Cycle of Stupid. Money printed from nothing, achieved nothing, and went back home. On the way a whole lot of people got paid to pretend to change the weather. But money printing causes inflation, and in inflationary times interest rates have to rise. So it follows that when easy money flows into your wallet, easy solutions, like fixed loans with low interest are the stupidest possible solution.

Shutting down the economy to fight a virus was an extremely stupid decision that we are not done paying for.  We are about to enter the darkest point of the Dumb ages led by corrupt simpletons like Biden and Trudeau.  God help us.

 

Much of the world is dealing with spiraling energy costs.  The problem is very acute in Germany where the government decided to save the planet by sacrificing their citizens.  I think Germans will be pissed when they realize they are not saving anything.  Their ridiculous policies are based on junk science provided by the environmental lobby.

With growing awareness that the energy crisis could become a lethal threat to the Greens’ top priority of climate change, Robert Habeck’s ministry commissioned three different think tanks to calculate the potential costs of climate change for Germany.

The results were unsurprisingly catastrophic, showing that the issue would cost almost a trillion euros until 2050. The assumptions of the study, though, were entirely unrealistic, and based on a global warming scenario that was recently banned from use in US agencies due to its lack of validity.

Based on this flawed study, however, Germany decided to push even harder for the energy transition, motivated by yet another set of faulty assumptions.

What makes the situation even more frustrating is that these studies are easy to debunk if one only takes the time to read them, rather than relying on a press release from the ministry. Yet almost no media outlet was doing that — most probably because the results were not just aligned with the Green agenda, but also with the personal views of most journalists.

The environmental movement is dishonest and dangerous.  Their ridiculously unscientific doomsday scenarios cause politicians to make remarkably stupid decisions.  Politicians are naturally predisposed to stupidity and really don’t need the encouragement.   The climate cult convinced pot addled California politicians that snow was no longer a possibility.  As a result

A dozen deaths have been reported in mountain towns, many of them elderly people cut off by the snow, under a political system that had decided to pretend that snow was a relic of the distant past.

Snow was supposed to disappear. Climate mitigation strategies often acted like it didn’t exist or as if the defining climate situation would involve less and less of it, not more and more.

A dozen deaths are tragic but it is a drop in the bucket compared to what will happen from the attack on farming.  The first battles in the war on farming are being fought in the Netherlands.  On the weekend I found this glowing article celebrating the architect of this lunacy; Johen Vollenbroek.  Like other narcissists in the environmental movement Vollenbroek doesn’t understand why people don’t recognize that he is a prophet sent by god to save the planet.

Back in his kitchen in Nijmegen, Vollenbroek is baffled by farmers who don’t see the world in his terms. “We do not want you to get out of business, but you have to change,” he tells farmers when he meets them. “We have neglected the climate and we have neglected our natural reserves all over the world.”

He doesn’t want to eliminate farming he just wants to change farming.  God has apparently given him farming knowledge that is far superior to the thousands of people actually making a living off of farming.  We should be way more thankful for his divine presence.

When I first learned of these farm confiscation policies I did a little research about nitrogen fertilizer and nitrogen oxides.  I could not find anything that showed nitrogen fertilizer was much of a problem so I was very interested in what Vollenbroek’s justification was.  Apparently he is concerned about plants he does not like and dead fish.  That is why we must ban another essential building block of life.

While nitrogen is an essential building block of life, in large quantities it becomes a toxic killer. Some fast-growing plants thrive on it and turn into monstrous ecosystem overlords. Smaller, rarer species, like herbs, lichens and mosses, are driven out. Across the Netherlands, but especially in sensitive grasslands and marshes, the soil is turning increasingly acidic. In waterways, nitrogen spurs algal growth, sucking oxygen from the water. Fish suffocate.

Invasive species and dead fish can be a problem but how big is the problem?  How many fish and plants will we save by restricting fertilizer and confiscating farms?  The article does not say, and that in a nut shell is the primary problem with the modern environmental movement.  The Environmental movement will never recognize that their actions have consequences beyond saving fish.  I cannot tell you how many fish will be saved by restricting fertilizer but I can tell you hundreds of millions of people will starve.

That may seem like hyperbole but it is not; we have been to this movie before.  In 1962 a book called the silent spring was published.  The book detailed how some pesticides were damaging the environment.  DDT was singled out because it was causing reproductive problems (thin egg shells) in some types of raptors.  As a result DDT bans started and by 1972 it was banned worldwide.  No one stopped to consider what would happen from banning DDT.  The assumption was that countries were spending millions of dollars per year on pesticide programs for no reason other than killing birds.

Of course that was not true.  DDT was used in Africa to control malaria mosquitos.  By using DDT Africa had nearly eliminated malaria; banning DDT caused malaria cases to skyrocket for 30 years.  Africa has only recently gotten malaria back under control.  The plot below is from South Africa.

Millions of Africans, mostly children, died to save birds.  Couldn’t we have allowed high malaria areas to continue to use DDT until a better alternative was discovered?  Not according to the left.  The left never considers the cost of any of their policies just the benefits.  Africans know the price is often paid in human misery and death.

They do not care if their policies kill people because their core philosophy is people bad, everything else good.  Their core belief is that humans need to be eradicated.  We should never let these homicidal lunatics set public policy.

I saw this video again a few days ago.  I don’t know when the original dates from but it does not matter because everything he says was true then and it is still true now.  Climate change is a hoax and everyone in power knows that.

To be clear it is not a hoax that the climate is changing.  The earth is a very dynamic system; everything changes, even the position of the continents.  There has never been a time in the 4.5 billion year history of the earth where climate did not change.  Go ask any geologist.  The geologic record is full of evidence of climate change; sometimes very rapid climate change.

So climate change is happening.  That is not a hoax.  What is a hoax is that we can stop the climate from changing by restricting CO2.  In the grand scheme of climate CO2 is a minor factor.  Increasing CO2 from current levels will result mostly in faster plant growth.  A significant decrease in CO2 from current levels would result in the end of all life on earth.  You decide.

All of the prophets of climate doom know this.  I think Mark Steyn said it best when he said “I will start believing in climate change when the people in charge start behaving like they believe in climate change”.  My apologies to Mark Steyn, I am paraphrasing because I can’t find the original quote.  Steyn is 100% correct it is not just the bank executives that don’t believe coastal areas will be swamped.  None of the Climate Change Prophets do either.  Obama, Gore, Suzuki, and many others own beach front property.  If these people believed their own bullshit they would all live at high altitude in northern regions but they do not.

But it is true that sea level is rising.  It has been rising consistently by about 2.5 mm per year since the end of the little ice age in 1850.  At that rate it will take 400 years to rise only 1 meter (3 feet 3 inches). Sea level is rising so slowly that even small pacific islands have not lost any measurable amount of surface area.  So it would seem that reports of New York’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Coastal areas are not in imminent danger yet governments are enacting dangerously stupid climate policies in response to this nonexistent threat.  They are restricting food production and making it impossible for poor people to afford home heating.  Incredibly their policies even encourage slavery and child labor.

Government justifies these disgusting policies by calling climate change an existential threat which it clearly is not.  It is true however that many people believe climate change is an existential threat.  So how did that happen?  How did so many people come to believe in something so absurd?  After 3 years of COVID rational people know the answer to that.  It is not that difficult for a small group of people to fool the masses.  All you need is fear and fraudulent science.

When it comes to climate change the fraudulent science comes from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).  The IPCC self identifies as the gold standard in science; they are trans-scientists.  The panel meets regularly to produce fraudulent reports on climate change.  They then release these reports to governments who produce the fear.

Governments produce the fear by disseminating the fraudulent IPCC reports internally with instructions for each agency to produce policy positions based on the fraudulent predictions.  The result is multiple agencies issuing alarming reports of what needs to be done to prevent imaginary doomsday scenarios.  The media then does their part by broadcasting each alarming report.  The public is inundated with reports from multiple agencies declaring climate change as the number one problem on earth.

Viola, there is now a consensus.  It seems that all of these agencies have independently arrived at the same conclusion but that is nowhere near true.  All of the secondary reports are based on a single fraudulent IPCC report.

The Trudeau government never ceases with this dishonest behavior and that is why CSIS (Canada’s version of the CIA) just released a report declaring that climate change is a national security threat and non-believers are potentially violent domestic terrorists.

A newly released analysis by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service also foresees an increase in ideologically motivated violent extremism from people who want to speed up climate change solutions and those more interested in preserving their current way of life

Trudeau is getting a lot of mileage out of fraudulent UN sponsored science.  Now anyone who disagrees with a carbon tax of $9/GJ on natural gas that sells for $3/GJ is obviously a terrorist.  They can expect CSIS to interrogate their neighbors and freeze their bank accounts.  The Trudeau Liberals next election slogan should be freezing to fight warming.

CSIS took the fraudulent predictions given to them by a proven habitual liar (Justin Trudeau) at face value.  That is a little surprising for a spy agency but it does explain how China gets away with rigging our elections and running their own police in Canada.  The fraudulent data was used to produce the alarming report Justin desired “proving” the dangers of climate change.

Extrapolating fraudulent data to a nightmare scenario does not prove anything but the report does show how frightfully naïve Canadians are about climate change.  CSIS actually admitted that the biggest problem with a warmer planet will be how attractive Canada becomes for immigration.

“Canada will likely be seen as a desirable place for future immigration flows, not only due to its stable economy and fundamental rights and freedoms, but also its significant freshwater and agricultural endowments and vast territory that offer options for mass relocation.”

Didn’t they just admit that a warmer earth benefits a northern nation like Canada?  Why would we do anything to prevent that?  Doesn’t that statement also insinuate that the effects of climate change can be mitigated by enforcing immigration laws?  I doubt that was the conclusion Justin wanted but it is one I can live with.

When the proper accounting is finally done for COVID it will show very few people died of COVID.  They did not die from their comorbidities either.  Most COVID fatalities were the result of medical malpractice.  Doctors were convinced, coerced, or compelled to use protocols that increased the number of people dying.  Over the last 3 year millions of people died unnecessarily.

That might be hard to believe but dying at the hands of a doctor is far more common than you think.  There is even a medical term for it.  An Iatrogentic injury is an injury caused by medical treatment.

It is not even unprecedented for doctors to collectively kill millions over a relatively short time as happened during the Spanish flu pandemic.  The Spanish flu hit at the end of WW1 in 1918.  21 million people died but what was most shocking was the number of young healthy soldiers who died.  Influenzas don’t normally kill the young and healthy so the death of otherwise healthy soldiers fueled panic.  Now 100 years later science is starting to realize those soldiers were not killed by the Spanish flu they were killed by Aspirin.

Aspirin had only been recently discovered and marketed.  Because Aspirin was good at reducing fevers doctors prescribed it liberally to treat the Spanish flu; too liberally as it turns out.  Military doctors were prescribing 8 to 32 grams per day.  The average size of a soldier in WW1 was 141.5 lbs.  A toxic dose of aspirin for a 141.5 lbs. man can be as little as 13 grams.  Many young men died due to medical malpractice.

To be clear, despite what the news tells you, COVID is not the Spanish flu.  The Spanish flu killed 18 times as many people on a population basis.  Still there are many parallels between what happened then and what is happening now.   People made decisions out of fear and many of those decisions were deadly.  There is however one fundamental difference between what happened in 1918 and what we are currently living through.  The Spanish flu occurred naturally and caught everyone off guard.  Doctors were forced to scramble.  COVID was engineered.  A group of conspirators built a virus, released it, and then controlled every aspect of how patients were treated.  In 1918 doctors tried to save patients.  During COVID doctors were forced to kill patients.

The Spanish flu was a serious pandemic made worse by medical errors.  COVID is a criminal conspiracy to commit murder for profit; big difference.

A friend of mine sent me this unique business opportunity.  The province of Manitoba is about to auction off 105 visitation pods.  If you have never heard about a visitation Pod before you are likely not alone.  They are a uniquely COVID invention that I only discovered when my friend sent me this article.

Visitation pods were installed at Manitoba nursing homes so that people could visit their elderly relatives without entering the nursing home.  Essentially they are shipping containers wired with lights, ventilation and a heater.

The Pods are no longer needed, largely because they were never need but also because COVID fear is no longer necessary.  Since we are willing to accept permanent lockdowns in the form of 15 minute cities fraudulent COVID lockdowns are redundant.  The province of Manitoba is looking to sell the pods to re-deploy the capital into traffic bollards.

The province is not sure how much money the auction will raise but they are not worried because they got such a deal in the first place.  They proudly boast the pods only cost $695,000 each when the original budget was $805,000 each.  This is a prime example of government efficiency.  Provincial health bureaucrats only spent $73 million on 105 shipping containers when they expected to spend $85 Million.  In government accounting that is a savings of $114,000 per unit on wired shipping containers worth about $50,000 each.

Only government could spend $695,000 on an electrified shipping container.  Private enterprise would have done this far cheaper or likely not at all.  Many Canadians work in remote locations.  To accommodate workers in temporary remote locations companies rent fully equipped portable trailers designed to be easily moved and installed.  There are thousands of these in Canada that were not being used during the government enforced COVID stupidity.  They could have been rented for as little as $100/day.  To rent 105 for 2 years would have cost $766 thousand or about what the Manitoba government paid for 1 unit.

This is just one more example of colossal government waste but that is the point of a manufactured emergency.  An emergency is always a reason for government action and by government action I mean government spending.  No one questions spending when there is an emergency; something had to be done after all.  These shipping containers did not cost $695,000 each.  Even for government the cost was likely under $100,000.  The rest was syphoned off in to bank accounts of friends and family.

Politicians and senior bureaucrats create emergencies to supplement their incomes.  That is why we always have some sort of crisis that demands government intervention.  People in government make money from emergencies, both fake and real.  Their incentive is to prolong emergencies just as they did for 3 years with COVID.

Is it any surprise then that our policy is to prolong the Ukraine war and send money indefinitely?  Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries on earth and we are sending just enough to keep them fighting while discouraging them from seeking peace.  The same bastards that manufactured the COVID emergency are now cynically encouraging Ukrainians to keep dying so the gravy train keeps rolling.

We may never know how much money was stolen using COVID as an excuse.  Certainly we will never know how much money is now being stolen in the Ukraine or how much each dead Ukrainian was worth to some western politician.
