Gullible or just stupid?

Canadians are stupid.  Ok that might be a little harsh.  A better description might be misinformed and suspectable to lies, I.E. gullible.  I find it hard not to blame Canadians for the gullible part.  No matter how many times Canadians are lied to they simply refuse to accept that they have been lied to.  And Canadians get lied to a lot, usually by our media who carry water for progressive politicians.

There was another good example of the media lying to Canadians this week when a lunatic from Alberta decided to shoot some cops in Montreal.  The Shooter left behind a manifesto in which he professed hate of almost everything including capitalism.  The media had the entire manifesto but chose to focus on the parts that had weak links to the incel community.

Arntfield noted that the maniac’s manifesto lacks incel buzzwords that typically accompany slayings connected to the movement.

Currently the country hates Albertans because Alberta is threatening separation, so the media took the opportunity to build a narrative that the shooter was a right wing incel loser from Alberta. The problem with the narrative wasn’t that it was not true.  The problem was that independent media also had the manifesto.  Independent media published the entire manifesto which proved the shooter was a hard left lunatic.

This may have been the most rapid destruction of a false media narrative I have ever witnessed.  Within a day it was clear threat mainstream media was lying.  But that did not seem to bother the media.  If they could not blame the shooting on right wing ideology, they would just blame it on the gun.

This is how every shooting in Canada is reported.  Frist the shooter is motivated by right wing ideology.  Then when the shooter is inevitably outed as a hard left lunatic the problem becomes the gun.  The gun made him do it.

Canadian mainstream media are not in the business reporting the news.  Their core business is manufacturing opinion.  They cherry pick information to build a narrative.  The problem is that Canadians believe them even when they get caught in a lie.
