Beware of incoming Solutions

I like back of the envelope math.  Clients call me with problems.  Sometimes these problems require detailed analysis.  Most of the time, however, the problem is solved with back of the envelope math and common sense.  I was reminded by this yesterday when I found a blogger doing some very effective back of the envelope math on illegal migration.  He found that expelling millions of illegal migrants does not significantly change total employment.

In other words of the 2 million illegal immigrants that have been expelled by one means or another it is a reasonable argument that a mere 14.5% of them, or about one in seven, were working in a form and fashion that was recorded in the household survey,

These numbers are from the United States, but this problem is not unique to the US.  Illegal migrants don’t work in Europe either.

More than seven million migrants remain outside the European Union’s labour market, despite the liberal political class’ insistence that the millions of migrant arrivals in recent decades would benefit Europe.

Politicians tell us that immigration is necessary because we don’t have enough people to fill jobs and pay taxes.  How does that work when the people who arrive don’t work or pay taxes?  Immigration proponents love to point out that countries like Canada and the US were built by immigrants.  That is true but when those immigrants came, they were promised nothing but an opportunity to succeed.  Now people who show up illegally are promised hotel rooms.

Liberals believe that all immigration is beneficial.  There is absolutely no data to support that childish notion.  How is it beneficial to bring in people who still execute witches.

Spanish police have arrested 19 people accused of killing and torturing up to 50 fellow passengers aboard a migrant vessel, allegedly throwing overboard victims accused of witchcraft.

Or people who openly lied to you about their circumstances.

Afghans who have been relocated to Britain to protect them from the Taliban have returned to their home country on holiday,

Do you really think violent people and liars will be productive tax paying member of society?  Of course not.  Countries are not charities.  We have no obligation to let anyone in. The right thing to do is to never let these people into your country in the first place.  The problem for ordinary peaceful tax paying citizens is that our governments never choose to do the right thing.

Formerly dominant majorities in these countries believe that they are governed by people who are actively opposed to their national and personal interests and who have effectively closed all avenues of peaceful political amelioration.

It’s hard to deny that the elites seem to have little interest in promoting the welfare of individual nations.

The people in government see the statistics.  They know that illegal migrants largely don’t work and do not benefit the country.  Illegal migration is the easiest problem in the world to solve yet they do nothing.  This has gone on too long for it just to be ordinary government incompetence.  At this point we should admit that allowing illegal migration is part of the plan.  The destruction is intentional.  Government is not your friend, but you must go back to medieval times to find governments this openly hostile to their citizens.

Just once it would be nice to be able to believe

Governments lie.  That is sad but true.  Sometimes government lies are meant to manipulate you.  During COVID governments manipulated people with fear.  The fear was created with lies.  Other times government lies just to cover up terrible or illegal things they have done.

The document has proven a bombshell to lawmakers, revealing for the first time that the FBI had a total of 274 agents deployed to the Capitol in plainclothes and with guns

Chalk one more up for the Tin foil hat crowd.  J6 was set up.  The American government manufactured a riot and then lied to cover it up.

I am not American so I can tell you lying is not exclusive to American politics.  Canadian politicians are also highly allergic to the truth.  I doubt Justin Trudeau has told the truth once in his lifetime and his replacement, Mark Carney, has shown no penchant for the truth either.  He is on a world tour of countries we do little to no trade with signing deals that are sold as “transformational”.  It is all al lie because Canada can’t increase trade by any measurable amount with any of these countries.  As I have discussed before, Canada does not have the infrastructure to trade with anyone other than the US.

Barry Prentice, the director of the Transport Institute at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, told me that he didn’t see much room for improving shipping by rail between Canada and Mexico.

“The infrastructure is pretty much in place,” he said.

Canada and Mexico, he said, have limited ability to bring improvements to other forms of transportation without the participation and cooperation of the United States.

In Carney’s defense, he might not know this.  He could be stupid rather than dishonest.  But I would put money on him being both.

When Donald trump got re-elected, I saw it as a win for the truth.  The Democrats in the US constant accuse Trump of being a liar but from what I see it is difficult for Trump to lie.  Anything that seems to be crossing Trumps mind in the moment immediately comes out of his mouth.  That is not a good trait for a liar to have.

I was also encouraged when Trump appointed Kash Patel and Dan Bongino. Outside of government these two firebrands were champions for truth.  I had hoped that they could bring that to government.  Sadly, I have been disappointed.

First Patel and Bongino told me that Epstein killed himself and that he did not traffic girls to anyone.  This means that Epstein was so despondent about the complete lack of evidence against him that he committed suicide.  This makes absolutely no sense.  Neither does what they are telling us about Charlie Kirk.

The surgeon who operated on Charlie Kirk said the bullet that killed him miraculously did not exit his neck, likely saving others from getting hit.

I have a tip for Patel and Bongino.  If your lie requires us to believe in miracles it is not a very good lie.

Full disclosure I am not a firearms expert, but I do know that a 30 06 is a large high velocity round.  The odds of it not passing straight though Charlie Kirk’s neck are very low.  Is it possible? Yes.  Is it probable? Not at all.  I do not think they found the bullet in Charlie’s neck.  Initially we were told the bullet was not recovered but that story was problematic.  If it wasn’t in Charlie’s neck, then where was it?  The hole in this narrative was plugged by claiming the coroner just did not see it at first.  I am not a doctor either, but I don’t know how a large chunk of lead can be that hard to see on an Xray.

This whole thing reminds me of another magic bullet.  The official story of JFK’s assassination also had a magic bullet.  In this case the bullet was unstoppable.  It passed through 2 people and was later found in pristine condition lying on a hospital gurney.  This unstoppable bullet did have one thing in common with the Kirk bullet.  It also could not be found until people started to question the narrative.

They might be telling me the truth about Charlie Kirk, but I doubt it.  And that is the problem, isn’t it?  Governments have lied to us so much that nothing can be taken at face value.  I wish I could trust information given to me by the government.  At the very least I wish the narratives could be more believable.

The problem is never the solution

If more government is the answer, then it was a really stupid question.

That quote is from Ronald Reagan, and it could not be truer, yet it is the most ignored piece of advice in Canada.  Canadians believe that government is the answer to everything.  I don’t know how many times I have been in conversation with one of my fellow countrymen when the phrase “the government ought to do something about that” comes up.  When it did, I would stop the conversation and ask the speaker to name one thing the government does well.  Invariably they could not cite a single example of government competence.  So, my next question would be “then why do you want government involved in anything?”

I don’t do that anymore.  Partially because as I have aged my circle of friends has become so small that it no longer includes people who can’t think.  But mostly, I have just given up on trying to save Canadians from themselves.  Canadians are a lost cause.  When they go to a voting booth they vote for the government that promises to do the most when they really should vote for the people promising the least.

“Helpful” governments always make thing worst.  Justin Trudeau promised to subsidize dental care.  The media touted it as one of his great accomplishments.  All that really happened is that a bunch of bureaucrats got hired and they burned through an incredible amount of cash without helping anyone.

Taxpayers have been billed almost $500 million just to run the Trudeau government’s Canada Dental Care Plan, with most of the money going to administration instead of patients.

Cabinet admitted in a Commons filing that as of March 31, 2025, the program’s overhead costs totaled $472.9 million, including payments to third-party administrators.

95% of the money was wasted.  This, sadly, is par for the course.  The only Canadians who benefit from this program are employees and friends of government.  You would think by now Canadians could have figured this out but that would require more intellect than the average Canadian possesses.  Canadians voted for Trudeau when he lied about making dental care affordable and then the Voted for Mark Carney when he lied about making housing affordable.

Mark Carney has promised to build, build, build, but so far all he has built are fake backdrops for press conferences.  Canadians would do well to remember that the housing shortage was caused by governments in the first place.  Since COVID the federal liberals flooded the country with migrants.  This was not done to help Canadians or Canada.  It was done solely to advance the liberals party’s own political agenda. This is disgusting but on its own it would not have caused the crisis.  All we must do is build, build, build, right?  The problem is that no matter how many times Carney promises that it is not possible in Canada.  Municipal governments who have spent decades making it almost impossible to build anything in Canada

You cannot solve problems caused by too much government by applying more government.  The result of Carney’s housing program is predictable.  It will benefit only government and liberal party donors.  The Government is not your friend.  Government is a large and growing parasite that only cares for itself.  Canadians need to stop being so damn Canadian.

A divide too large to bridge.

People who know me would likely describe me as conservative or hard right.  It is true I do agree with many “conservative” positions, but I am not conservative.  At least not by the definition of conservatives.  Originally Conservatives were those who valued institutions and traditions.  Conservatives were resistant to change what already existed, but Liberals were more open to change.

By that simple definition I am a liberal.  I am always open to change.  But I do not agree with change for change’s sake.  I also stubbornly insist that any change should have some reasonable chance of making things better rather than worse.  This is where I separate from modern liberals.  Modern liberals are not just open to change.  They insist on change.  The modern liberal thinks everything as it exists now is somehow wrong and must be changed.

This is childish thinking.  There are often very good reasons why things are the way they are.  Our ancestors were not stupid.  Traditions and institutions developed the way they did because people found that is what worked.  That does not mean any of them are perfect.  It just means we have not found a better way yet.  Conservatives understand that changing these things could have undesirable consequences.  Things could easily get worse.  Liberals don’t see the downside of change.  They are so convinced of their moral and intellectually superiority that they cannot acknowledge they might be wrong.

The divide between traditional liberals and traditional conservatives is not that wide.  Conservatives were cautious and liberals were bolder, but they wanted the same things.  They both wanted a better world.  That is no longer the case.  Conservatives, not surprisingly, have not changed much.  Liberals on the other hand have abandoned all common sense.  Conservatives still want a better world.  Liberals just want a world where they get to dictate everything.

When I say I am a liberal that is not quite correct.  I am better described as a libertarian.  I want the least government possible.  Basically, I just want to be left alone, and I am content to leave others alone.  They can do anything they want, as long as they do no harm to me or my family.  If you do harm me or my family, I am willing to respond in kind.

I think if you asked even a progressive liberal they would say the same thing.  The problem is that my definition of harm is different than theirs.  My definition of harm is that you cannot physically assault me or take my property.  Their definition of harm is much broader.  I have harmed a modern liberal if I

  • Say things they don’t like
  • Don’t wear a mask
  • Don’t take a vaccine
  • Drive a car
  • Protest taxes
  • Propose different solutions to problems

To a modern liberal the list of harmful things I do to people I have never met or even been in the same room with is endless.  Modern liberals believe they own the truth.  They know how the world should work.  Anyone who disagrees with them is therefore harming society.  Remember millions of imaginary lives are lost to climate change every year.

In the wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination, I have been thinking about this a lot.  Over the past week conservatives have expressed outrage over an outrageous act.  Liberals have doubled down.  To them Charlie kirk got what he deserved because of how harmful he was.  Charlie said things they did not like.

We are to believe that Charlie caused real harm with his words.  That doesn’t even make my rather short list of harm others can cause me, but it is top of the list for modern liberals.  Conservatives believe you can say what you want but you can’t punch them in the face.  Modern liberals believe that if you say what they don’t like you must be punched in the face, or worse.

Conservatives believe violence is justified when you are defending your life.  Liberals believe violence is justified when you are defending your pronouns.  There is no way to bridge the gap between these two positions.

The conspiracy is slowly being laid bare

Thanks to various groups doggedly pursuing FOIA requests, Pfizer is being forced to release documents that should have been published 5 years ago.  One of those documents shows that Pfizer was aware of fertility damage from mRNA injections.

The evidence paints a disturbing picture. Pfizer knew. They had data showing devastating impacts on fertility, pregnancy outcomes, and male development. Yet the shots were rolled out anyway—promoted as a miracle cure while hiding a darker agenda.

I hope the investigations continue and broaden.  I assure you that it was not just Pfizer that had this information.  Our governments also knew the COVID Jabs were dangerous.  How can I say that?  I am inferring it from their actions.  If they did not know the jabs were dangerous, they would not have classified vaccinated people as unvaccinated.

I have written about this before.  The government did not consider you to be vaccinated if your injection was less than 2 weeks prior.  They even considered someone who had taken the first but not the second shot unvaccinated.  Their logic was that each shot took at least 2 weeks to be effective, and it took 2 shots to complete the treatment.  That is fair, but those people were not really unvaccinated, were they?  So why didn’t we have a third category of partially vaccinated?

There was no third category because it would have been too difficult to hide vaccine injuries.

Scottish data showing excess deaths in each age group start when Vaccinations start for that age group.

They knew from day one that is why they chose to lump vaccinated people into unvaxed for the first 14 days

This statistical problem was not an accident.  Our governments made a conscious decision to skew the statistics to hide injuries.  They knew.  Before the first needle went into the first arm, they knew there would be injuries and not just a few minor injuries.  They knew there would be so many injuries and deaths in the partially vaccinated group that they would need to be obscured with dishonest accounting.

COVID was a crime.  The whole thing, not just the vaccine mandates and deceptive accounting.  The lockdowns and restrictions were necessary to justify the vaccines.  Every single action our governments took was part of the same crime.  This was the largest crime in history.  People must be punished.

Silencing Conversation

I started this blog to point out that governments all over the world were lying about COVID.  I have kept the blog going because COVID is not over.  It will not be over until the pandemic planners are in prison.  That is an end point I doubt we will ever see so I could be at this for a very long time.

With the passage of time, it has become difficult to dwell on only COVID.  There is so much evidence of harm that it is almost not newsworthy anymore when another study gets published.  Public sentiments have also moved on.  Many people are resigned to accepting that the criminals will never be punished.  Still, I persist, and I did have some COVID related things to discuss today but the events of this week have overshadowed anything I was going to say about COVID.

Two things happened this week in the US that are too important to ignore.  First the murder of a Ukrainian refugee leaked despite the best efforts of the media to make sure no one would ever know.

Brown had stabbed the defenceless Zarutska in the neck entirely unprovoked. Yet what shocks most about this gruesome murder in Charlotte, North Carolina is not just the savagery of the attack, but also the apathy of the victim’s fellow passengers.

The murder had happened more than 2 weeks before the media was forced to cover the story.  A brutal murder of a defenseless woman was covered up for 2 weeks not because it was not newsworthy but because it would cause conversations the left did not want to have.  Preventing conversations is a tactic of the left and it was only days later when they did it again by assassinating Charlie Kirk.

Charlie Kirk was the king of conversation.  He gleefully enters what for conservatives is the lion’s den, college campuses.  Kirk would challenge the lunatic beliefs force fed to college students by the left-wing activists masquerading as educators.  The left hated him for it.  What they hated most was how effective he was.  Kirk caused too many students to question liberal orthodoxy.

The left tried to marginalize Charlie and when that didn’t work, they silenced him with a bullet.  His killer was a young man from a conservative background who was radicalized after only one term at university.  That illustrates just how toxic these environments are and why what Charlie was doing was so important.

Immediately after the shooting there was a predictable response.  The left celebrated while still claiming that they were somehow the victims and not Charlie Kirk.  The right declared they would pick up Charlie’s mantle.  I believe the left were happy and revels in their own self-declared victimhood.  Their delusions will not be changed by a dose of reality like a shooting.  Yet I have serious doubt that the right will continue Charles’s fight.

10 years ago, 2 Muslims were upset about a conversation the staff at Charlie Hedbo were trying to have so the Muslims killed the cartoonists.  The whole world declared that they were in solidarity with the victims.  It became, briefly, fashionable to declare Je Suis Charlie (I am Charlie).  But what happened?  What did all that solidarity amount to?  Not a single other publication had the balls to publish the offending cartoons.  Now 10 years later Muslims block streets in a show of dominance and not a single government has dared to do anything about it.  The liberal party of Canada trampled people with horses for blocking streets.  They even froze bank accounts of anyone who dared support the street blockers.  Justin Trudeau was a preening peacock in front of people he knew would not harm him.  He is still silent about Muslims blocking streets.

Fear works.  That is why our governments went to such great lengths to frighten people over COVID.  Terrorists understand this as well.  No matter how much bravado people show after an attack the terrorists understand that it is just for show.  Their objectives will be met.  People will shut up and take it.  I hope this time it will be different.  However, history makes me doubt that it will.

All successful Criminals have creative accountants.

COVID was a crime.  A bunch of sociopaths faked an emergency by inflating COVID deaths.  For 2 years no one died of anything but COVID.

This report points to three findings that should concern policymakers and the general public. First, Covid death numbers were significantly exaggerated, largely due to an overbroad definition of Covid deaths.

They even created deaths with lockdowns and restrictions to further the narrative.

Second, government-imposed lockdowns caused substantial harm, leading to excess deaths from drug overdoses, alcohol-related illnesses, and delayed healthcare, among others.

This was all done to sell a dangerous treatment deceptively called a vaccine.  The new vaccines caused a rash of deaths that initially were also blamed on the fictitious pandemic and then later ignored completely.

Third, there is a disturbing correlation between the rushed Covid vaccine and the ongoing trend of unexpected deaths, including deaths from heart issues, digestive disorders, and neurological diseases.

The scale of this crime was immense.  It could not have happened without the cooperation of multiple governments around the world.  I have no doubt that that cooperation was bought by the pandemic planners.  The people at the top made money while the useful idiots beneath them followed enthusiastically.  For them the reward was to appear important as they overstepped their authority.

COVID is the largest crime in history, yet no one has been punished.  Part of the reason is creative accounting.  No one really knows how many people died of COVID.  The overwhelming majority of deaths blamed on the virus had nothing to do with COVID.  They were a combination of other causes and government policy.

The same can be said about vaccine deaths.  While COVID deaths have been wildly over exaggerated vaccine deaths have all but been ignored.  Governments are loath to admit anyone died of the vaccines even though thousands of the citizens clearly did die from the vaccines.  The vaccines killed in so many creative ways that fudging the accounting is easy.  These treatments even managed to kill babies who didn’t even take them.

This follow-up to our earlier report, Houston, We Have a Problem, identifies a new and deeply concerning signal: excess infant and child mortality in those who neither contracted Covid-19 nor received the vaccine themselves, but whose parents bore prior mRNA exposure.

The MAHA movement in the US is making a lot of noise right now but the number of COVID criminals punished still stands at zero.  In other countries the situation is even worse.  Few people are even talking about it anymore.  This is a huge mistake.  COVID was not just a crime.  It was a very lucrative crime.  Fortunes were made.  If there is no risk of punishment, why wouldn’t they do it again?

The best way to prevent the next Pandemic is to punish the people who planned the last Pandemic.

Accept the gifts Trump is offering

My wife and I were having a conversation in a store yesterday.  My wife told me about a headline she saw blaming Trump for something happening in Canada.  I don’t even remember what it was now other than it was ridiculous and had nothing whatsoever to do with Trump or any of his policies.  That’s when it hit me.  Trump is the new climate change.  Previously any bad consequence of a ridiculous government decision in Canada was blamed on climate change.  Now it is blamed on Trump.

When we went to pay for our purchase the shop owner immediately wanted to talk about things Trump has done recently.  Apparently, there is nothing important to discuss in Canada.  Our shrinking GDP and becoming the next Province of India is not worthy of discussion.  But Trump renaming some American government agency or firing some partisan career bureaucrat is the topic of the day.

Canada has always been a hot bed of anti-Americanism but now with Trump it is off the charts.  Every problem in our country has the same source, the incompetence and malfeasance of our own governments.  But don’t tell Canadians that.  According to clueless Canadians it is all Trump.  You know the evil dictator who has less power in his country than the prime minister has in ours.

Ours, copied in miniature, was supposed to do the same with the executive held accountable to Parliament, Parliament checked by sober second thought of the Senate, the judiciary a final bulwark. In theory, a balance.

In practice? A prime minister’s office that controls it all. Supreme Court appointments? PMO’s choice. Senators? PMO’s list. Cabinet? PMO’s cronies. Even the Governor General bows to the prime minister’s nod. Only the most iron-willed within this system would dare to push back.

Canadians don’t even know how their system works, or in most cases works against them.  They know even less about how the American system works.  All they know is orange man bad.  The height of virtue signaling in the least intelligent country on earth is repeating something bad about Trump you heard on CNN.

Reading in between the lines you may have figured out that I am not like most Canadians.  I do not hate America or Donald Trump.  In fact, I think Trump is exactly what the world needs right now.  He is giving us a gift that hopefully we are not too stupid to take.  Some Canadians are starting to realize that.  This is what Jean Charest had to say about the trade war with the US.

“I’m from the school of thought that we’ll thank Donald Trump in 20 years for shaking us up in Canada and bringing us out of our lethargy,” he said Tuesday in a speech at a Quebec City hotel. “It’s high time we rethink our economy.”

Jean Charest is a prominent Canadian Politician at both the federal and provincial levels.  Charest like every Canadian politician before and since was basically useless but even he gets it.  Trumps bull in the China shop approach is forcing Canadians to final ask some important questions about their country.

This is exactly what I like about Trump.  Trump is slaying all the woke dragons.

Free Trade

  • Free trade is not universally beneficial as we have been taught. Free trade is very one-sided.  It is very good for China and destructive for first world economies.  China is now a world power because we gave them the money they needed to build their military.  It all came at the expense of domestic workers who lost their jobs to Chinese factories.  Trumps tariffs are a stake in the heart for free trade.

Climate change

  • Trump is challenging the fraudulent EPA endangerment finding that is used to justify all the climate change policies. The whole climate narrative is based on fraud that Trump is exposing.

DEI

  • The US is purging DEI policies from major institutions and moving back to the meritocracy that made the US the most powerful country on earth. Why does any country want to handcuff their economy by choosing candidates based on anything other than merit?

Nationalism vs Multiculturalism

  • His America first policies stand in stark contrast to the citizens last policies of almost every other western nation. Canadians are unemployed because the Liberals are workers and subsidizing their wages.  Trump is doing the opposite. Trump is deporting illegals freeing up employment opportunities for American citizens.

Tyranny of experts

  • Trump is firing all the government health experts who are nothing but shills for big industry.

Tyranny of Bureaucracy

  • Every western government has a bloated permanent bureaucracy that pursues their own agenda. The deep State does exist, and it steals tax money with gleeful abandon.  Trump has not made the progress on this that Milei has in Argentina but dismantling the department of education and USAID is a very good start.

Of course, none of this is happening in Canada.  Canadian governments will resist any attempt to reform the corrupt system that benefits them.  My hope is that the longer this goes on, and the more government corruption that Trump uncovers, the harder it will be to ignore.  As things improve in the US maybe Canadians will wake up and question more than just our trade relationships.  Just this once I hope Canadians can wake up and do the right thing.

The World’s largest ego is starting to have doubts

Donald Trump got played in 2020.  I have been saying this since the start.  Fauci and Birx maneuvered him into lockdowns.  Shutting down the US economy in an election year would derail his re-election bid.  Trump was cornered and his only hope of restarting the economy was a vaccine, so he went all in on operation warp speed.  This was the goal of the pandemic planners from the start; a green light to sell an expensive dangerous product.

Operation warp speed went ahead and the gaslighting of Trump did not stop.  Trump thought his efforts to streamline the process enabled the vaccine to be developed in record time.  The reality is that they had the damn thing built before they kicked off their plan by releasing the virus.

Millions of people were killed and injured by a product that should never have been approved.  Operation warp speed was a disaster, but Trump continued to tout it as a success.  His ego just would not allow him to believe that he got played so easily.  That has all changed.  Trump announced on Truth social that his administration will do a look back to determine if Operation Warp speed helped or hurt.

There is still no guarantee what the outcome will be.  Big pharma won’t go down without a fight.  They recently produced another paper claiming millions of lives saved by their monstrous experiment.  This paper like the other pro-jab papers before it “proved” vaccine effectiveness through modeling.  I mean why use real data when you can just program a computer to make it all up?

They make many questionable assumptions and rely on estimates rather than, you know, using actual data. They even admit to “large uncertainties for some indicators in the model”

Their model shows the vaccines are working even though they admit their model doesn’t exactly work.

So, the model does not work but the Jabs do work because the model says so.  Is that clear enough for you?  I have said this many times before.  Models do not prove anything.  Modelling is not science, it is engineering, and it can’t be done before science.  A computer model will spit out any result that it has been programed to do.  The question is, have you programmed the model to reflect reality or are you ignoring reality and using your model to justify a decision?

I hope Trump will finally admit that operation warp speed was a mistake.  Then maybe we can get on with prosecuting the criminals.
