Silent Science
The elbows up crowd must be lost this week. They pride themselves on “following the science” but it was not a good week for that. For the first time in 6 years the “science” did not have much to say. Well, that is not exactly true. The “science did say this 111 times.
“Under the advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right under the Fifth Amendment of the constitution to refrain from answering your questions”

So, the “science” was not completely mute, but he did leave his followers wondering if they should still be wearing their masks.
Dr. Anthony “I am the science” Fauci defended his actions during COVID by invoke the 5th 111 times. Below is the wording of the 5th amendment (emphasis mine).
Fifth Amendment
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Basically, by invoking the 5th Fauci admits his actions were criminal. I am sure that there are attorneys that would dispute my oversimplification, but one thing is clear. Fauci’s recommendations had nothing to do with science. He even admitted as much in his own diary which has now been made public.
For “about 20-25 minutes”, Fauci wrote, he “encouraged [Trump] not to underplay the seriousness of the situation since if it turns out bad, it would look like he is covering up. I even spoke to him from a political standpoint that his chances for re-election might be more damaged if he downplayed the potential spread of virus in the USA than if he said we may face serious problems and even if the Stock Market goes down further, he was at least honest and the country would respect him for it.
Fauci urged Trump to lockdown not because it was the best science but because it was the safest political position. From the very first discussion it was politics not science. Fauci’s admission does not reflect well on him. It also does not reflect well on Trump or on the media that still support Fauci.
It would have been good to hear Dr. Fauci, now 85, distill what the entire pandemic experience was and what it did to us as a society, what could have been done to make its management better, what decisions in retrospect made it worse. Looking back, did he or others, in their newfound ascendancy, get carried away?
After everything that has come out the media is still covering for Fauci. They are trying to claim the whole thing was just a series of regrettable but understandable mistakes. Nothing can be further from the truth. Everything that lying little weasel said was a lie.
- Masks don’t work
- Asymptomatic transmission is a myth
- Lockdowns don’t work and are harmful
Of course, the media has no choice but to have Fauci’s back because they were part of the conspiracy. So were many politicians and senior government bureaucrats. There are a lot of people with a lot to lose if “the science” breaks its silence. That is why I doubt Fauci will ever be punished. He was at the center of the conspiracy and knows the names of the other participants.
Many people have reasons to shield Fauci. But if I were Fauci I would not rest easily. Getting rid of him is safer than protecting him. At this point I would not be surprised it Fauci was found to have committed “suicide” by shooting himself multiple times in the back with multiple weapons none of which will be found at the scene.
That would keep science silent now, wouldn’t it?
