A narrative backed by profits not science

Two different friends sent me a link to this new documentary that I finally watched last weekend.  I highly recommend it.  The documentary covers vaccine injuries and the complete lack of safety testing that was done before children were turned into pin cushions.  Those are both issues that everyone should be concerned with, but the documentary also raises another concern that effects more than vaccines, the silencing of science.

When a lay person says they are following “the science” they are not.  They are following a scientist that is setting or reinforcing a narrative that often has little to no science behind it. That certainly seems to be the case with vaccines.  I have written about vaccines multiple times on this blog.  Prior to COVID I could have been described as pro-vaccine.  I accepted the narrative without checking for the science behind the narrative.  Since COVID I have found the narrative behind vaccines to be highly questionable.  That’s why I wrote this more than 4 years ago.

What I found interesting is that when you see the entire history it is hard to make a case that vaccines did anything.  You cannot prove a negative.  By that I mean you cannot prove what would have happened had we not taken vaccines.  However the trend indicates that we would have been in the same place with or without vaccines.

The vaccine narrative is a house of cards.  New vaccines are safety tested against a previous vaccine that was never safety tested.  The only reason the public does not know this is that the people who make money from vaccines threaten the careers of any scientist who steps outside the narrative.  There is a wall of silence built by threats and intimidation.

Thanks to COVID that seems to be changing.  I hesitate to say there was any silver lining to the largest crime in history but if there was one it would be this.  More scientists have been emboldened to publicly question the narrative.  Advocates have become skeptics and those who were always skeptics are finally allowed to discuss science.

This is great news for science and public safety.  With a little luck some sanity will return.  We will make proper risk/reward calculations.  Looking back, it is hard to fathom how we let profits trump child safety.  In the 80s when vaccine manufacturers threatened to stop producing vaccines without liability protection why didn’t we take a minute to think about the implications of that?  If a product is that unsafe, why do we want it at all?  And why would we decide to increase our use of these demonstrably unsafe products?  In hindsight the last 40 years of increasing vaccine usage is unexplainable.  Unless, of course, you consider how much money was made.
