Don’t mock the village idiot, mock the people who voted for him
Last week Katy Perry posted a short video to promote a song on her new album. In the background of the video Justin Trudeau hopped around like an idiot. For supporting his new girlfriend Trudeau got roasted online.
Former Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has been brutally roasted online for ‘hopping like a rabbit’ in a bizarre new video promoting his girlfriend, Katy Perry’s new song.
Trudeaus supporters (yes, unbelievably he still has supporters) quickly defended him but I think both groups are missing the point. The people who should have been roasted are the ones who voted for that man-child. Trudeau acts like an immature idiot in the video because he is an immature idiot. This was obvious when he entered politics. Justin Trudeau was the least qualified person to ever hold any office in Canada yet Canadians gave him the top job 3 F’ING TIMES.
Trudeau is a moron. Everybody knows he is a moron. When you put a moron in charge of a G8 country bad things happen. Canada’s GDP per capita flatlined and costs of living spiraled up. Canadians finally got tired of Trudeau’s childish antics but did not get tired of proving to the world how stupid they were. Trudeau left and we elected his closest advisor, Mark Carney. Carney was also endorsed by Donald Trump. Canadians hate Donald Trump so much that they voted for the guy he endorsed. Canadians never miss an opportunity to prove their stupidity.
Carney abandoned Canada decades ago and describes himself as European. He is Canadian in passport only. But Canadians were impressed by his resume. They are still so impressed by his resume that he enjoys popular support despite being no better at the job than Trudeau.
Canadians support Mark Carney’s approach to managing the economy, even though he’s presided over the worst first year of growth for a prime minister since at least 1963.
A Nanos Research Group poll for Bloomberg News shows 60 per cent of Canadians think Carney has done a very good or good job of handling the economy. That compares with 24 per cent who think he’s done a poor or very poor job.
The rational for electing a man who doesn’t like Canada and who had a controlling hand in Trudeau’s disastrous polices was that he would face down Donald Trump. That has not happened. When the opportunity to face down Trump arrives, Carney isn’t even in the room.
Compare that with the room. Mexico sent its Economy Minister to appear in person and argue that there was no legal basis for the action, and that Mexico should be excluded. Peru’s minister argued that the United States had not carried out the individualized analysis the statute requires. Those governments treated a tariff proceeding against their workers as a fight over law and jurisdiction. Canada treated it as a form to fill out, and left half the form blank. Canadians like to say we go into a fight with our elbows up. Canada sent no person into that room, and no elbows.
I wish Canadians did not have such a pathological need to constantly reaffirm their stupidity. Our continuing economic problems were incredibly easy to predict. Carney’s policies have not worked because they can’t work. Carbon taxes, central planning, climate alarmism, and antagonizing our largest trading partner are all monumentally stupid.
Trudeau was a mistake. Carney is an even larger mistake. I am sure we are only weeks away from Carney hopping around in the background of some washed up pop star’s video. I am also sure that Canadians will still not have learned a damn thing. You can’t fix Canada because the country is full of Canadians.
