Immigration as a weapon
The US has an illegal immigration problem. Canada has a fraudulent immigration problem. It is the same problem but different name. Both problems start with a foreigner arriving uninvited. The only difference is that Canada immediately gives some sort of legal status to the benefit shopper. So, they become legal even when they lie and enter the country fraudulently. The result of our collective Canadian stupidity is one of the fastest growing populations on earth.
There are many ways to enter Canada fraudulently. One that has exploded in popularity is false asylum claims.
Let me be clear. Most people who enter Canada as a refugee are liars. Canadian officials know this. Several years ago, I read that more than 60% of refugee claimants return to their home country WHILE THEIR APPLICATIONS ARE BEING PROCESSED. Their country was so dangerous they had to flee but filling out paperwork in Canada somehow makes their country safe to return to.
There are several reasons why Canadians let benefit shoppers into the country with fake refugee claims, but the primary reason is that the system is designed to facilitate fraud.
Negative decisions – rejecting asylum claims – consume time and resources because they must be carefully written in anticipation of appeal. By contrast, positive decisions can be made rapidly and in large numbers.
The Canadian government has designed a system where it is much easier to accept a claim than it is to reject it. Government employees are nothing if not lazy, so which one do you think they choose? If you think that immigration bureaucrats just rubber stamp application and then go for coffee you would be 100% correct.

Even potential terrorists get a free pass because it is easier than protecting Canadians. But just as not every asylum claim is fake, not every employee at immigration Canada is lazy. There are at least a few that try to do their job properly. I am glad they do but frankly I don’t know why they bother. Even when they jump through all the hoops to get rid of a highly undesirable foreign national, some moron in judges robes just lets them come back.
A Bangladeshi immigrant deported from Canada two decades ago after the refugee claim he made using a false identity was rejected has won another shot at keeping the Canadian citizenship he obtained after marrying a woman in Bangladesh five months later who had permanent residency status here.
Mohamad Kassar, who arrived in Canada as a permanent resident about 35 years ago, was scheduled to be removed to Lebanon on Feb. 13. Instead, Federal Court Justice Angus Grant stayed his removal because Kassar has a preliminary diagnosis suggesting he might have a lung tumour.
Canadian Judges who are overwhelmingly appointed for their allegiance to the Liberal party and their willingness to ignore both law and common sense have discovered that Canada has an obligation to everyone except Canadians. Incredibly the more undesirable a foreign national is, the higher the obligation seems to be.
The result of accepting people who are unwanted even in their home countries has been predictable. Wasting tax money on millions of criminals and grifters has made Canadians poorer.
So, it was a shock when Canadian economist Trevor Tombe and the International Monetary Fund ran the numbers in 2023 and 2024 and concluded that Canada had, in fact, become poorer than Alabama.
Normally clueless Canadians are starting to realize that unrestricted immigration has not benefited Canada. Most polls now show that not only have Canadians soured on immigration there is growing support for sending people back. That won’t happen though because the Canadian government has a very different view of immigration. The Carney liberals think we need immigrants to do the jobs Canadians won’t. The most important job the Carney Liberals want immigrants for is to deal with those pesky Alberta separatists.

This year there will be an independence referendum in Alberta. The Carney liberals are preparing for a possible yes vote. You see while an independence referendum is legal separation is not. Canada would need to amend the constitution, and they could simply refuse to do that. Carney could legally hold Alberta and Albertans prisoners.
Denying 5 million people the right to self-determination will trigger an illegal unilateral declaration of independence. This is the scenario Carney is preparing for. The only practical way to keep Alberta is to occupy it with the military. But what if Canadian soldiers refuse orders to fire on Albertans? Carney must suspect this to be probable, and he is preparing for it. That is why he is stocking the Canadian military with foreign mercenaries who will have no problem killing Albertans.
You might think my tin foil hat is too tight this morning for me to print that but consider this. It has all happened before. Ukraine has fought for 4 years to keep a piece of the country that has already voted to leave, twice. This is also what triggered the American civil war. Lincoln refused to let the southern states secede. He could have let them go but instead chose to start a war buy ordering American troops to remain inside states that had voted to leave. He knew this would provoke a fight and it did.
Mark Carney also knows refusing to release Alberta or remove Canadians troops from Alberta will provoke a fight. For that he needs troops willing to fight.
