Ignore the Doomsday Cults

History is very problematic for climate alarmists.  Their theory is that the earth’s temperature and somehow the earth’s climate is highly sensitive to CO2 concentrations.  The problem they have with history is that the geological record never cooperates with the theory.  There are many periods where CO2 goes up and Temperature goes down and vice versa.  But you must give them credit for persistence.  They keep trying to find some period that conforms to their ridiculous idea that CO2 is the thermostat that controls earth’s temperature.  Sadly, for them at least, they have struck out again.

The climate science world (‘settled’ division) is in shock following the discovery in ancient ice cores that levels of carbon dioxide remained stable as the world plunged into an ice age around 2.7 million years ago. Levels of CO2 at around 250 parts per million (ppm) were said to be lower than often assumed with just a 20 ppm movement recorded for the following near three million-year period. In addition, no changes in methane levels were seen in the entire period. Massive decreases in temperature with occasional interglacial rises appear to have occurred without troubling ‘greenhouse’ gas levels, and this revelation has caused near panic in activist circles.

They wanted to show that ice ages happened when CO2 levels fell.  What they found was that CO2 was already low long before the ice age and stayed stable as the temperature fluctuated wildly for thousands of years.  If you were anything other than a climate scientist, you would conclude 2 things.

  1. There are things other than greenhouse gases that have a large influence on Climate.
  2. The data says nothing about the impact of greenhouses gases. There could be an underlying amount of warming due to greenhouse gases but since the level was stable there is no way to determine how much that it is or if might in fact be zero.

But that is not how climate scientists roll.  To them data that says nothing about greenhouse gas warming is irrefutable proof that the earth is even more sensitive to CO2 than they ever imagined.

“We definitely were a bit surprised,” says Marks-Peterson. If correct, the findings may suggest that even small changes to greenhouse gas levels could trigger major shifts in climate. “Maybe the Earth system is even more sensitive to changes in CO2 than we have understood,” she says. “That’s a little bit of a scary thought and something that I would say that our record can’t answer yet.”

So, data that shows nothing about greenhouse gas warming proves the theory of green house gas warming.  Are you starting to understand what a farce this is?  Everything proves the theory.  Nothing ever disproves it.  That is because climate science is not science.  It is a religion.  Or, more accurately it is a cult.

When every piece of data is skewed to support your belief, it is not science.  It is religion.  We saw the same behavior during COVID.  The true believers, Covidians, were part of the COVID cult.  Their beliefs were unshakable.

  • Masks worked even when people who wore masks got sick.
  • Lockdowns worked even though the virus spread unabated.
  • Social distancing worked but you must wear a mask for when it doesn’t work.
  • The vaccines were effective even though vaccinated people still got sick.
  • Getting sick after vaccination was proof that you would not be alive had you not taken a vaccine that did not prevent you from getting sick in the first place.

COVID and climate change are both cults.  Both cults even have their own beliefs about the wages of sin.  According to the climate cult if you don’t stop sinning by heating your home the whole earth will be turned into a fiery hell.  In the COVID cult your sins are paid for by others.  If you keep sinning by circulating unmasked and un-vaxxed a senior somewhere will surely die for your sins.

This stops when the public stops confusing religion for science.  When everything is proof then nothing is proof so feel free to ignore the doomsayers.  Their cult is not worth listening to.
