You do not hate Politicians or Government nearly enough
The joke in the aftermath of COVID is that the difference between a conspiracy theory and reality is about 6 months. Even things that at first blush seem absurd later turn out to be very real. 2 years ago, it was absurd to think that climate lockdowns will follow COVID lockdowns yet here we are. People in Nova Scotia have been locked out of the wilderness.
NS Premier Tim Houston, while admitting “this situation sucks,” has ordered a sweeping ban on fishing, hiking, camping
This isn’t just shades of COVID.
There’s something sourly familiar about all this. It’s the same bureaucratic reflex we saw during COVID: ramp up fear, strip away liberties, and unleash the tattletales. We were told that staying six feet apart in a forest would kill grandma. Now, it seems catching trout is one match away from burning down the province.
It is actually one step worse. Not only are there COVID like snitch lines
And just to twist the knife, the province has also set up a “hotline” — a snitch line, if we’re being honest — so Nova Scotians can report one another for the crime of enjoying nature.
But you can’t even gather outside on your own damn property.
even your own private property is off-limits. Venture out and you risk a $25,000 fine. You read that right. Twenty-five grand for fishing in your own back yard.
You might think things must be really bad for them to have taken this drastic action. The situation must be dire and the whole province must be on fire, right? All I can say to that is that anyone who thinks this is in anyway justified learned absolutely nothing from COVID.

Currently there are only 2 fires burning in Nova Scotia covering 0.6 Ha. For those of you not familiar with Hectares (Ha) That is an area that covers less than 80 m by 80 m (approximately 90 yards by 90 yards). An average runner could easily jog around the entire perimeter in 2 minutes.

2025 hasn’t even been a particularly bad fire season in Nova Scotia. The number of fires is well below the 10-year average and so far, the total burned acreage is only 2% of the yearly average over the last 10 years.

People in Nova Scotia are threatened with $25,000 fines if they pitch a tent on their own property and they only have themselves to blame. We let Sociopaths like Tim Houston violate our rights for 2 years over the imaginary COVID emergency. They know now that they can do whatever they want and we won’t do anything about it. This is only going to get worse.

Who are all the gabbage heads that vote for these psychopaths? Canadians, especially eastern Canadians, are truly a masochistic, self hating subspecies of humanity.
