Robber baron or Angel of death?

It is hard to tell if Mark Carney came back to Canada to simply pilfer the public coffers;

Prime Minister Mark Carney is facing accusations of a conflict of interest after announcing a $2 billion expansion of federal heat pump rebates that could benefit companies in which he previously disclosed financial holdings.

Or, if he has come back to destroy the country.

In an appearance before the Senate finance committee last week, parliamentary budget officer Annette Ryan said the approach the government is taking risks sending the costs of servicing government debt into the “danger zone” and that its abandonment of a key fiscal anchor on spending is “the opposite of prudence.”

It would be easy to dismiss Mark Carney as simply a clever thief using deceptive accounting to enrich himself but that doesn’t explain why one of the first things he did as Prime Minister was to appoint Justice Darren R. Thorne.  Before becoming a judge, Thorne was an academic and government bureaucrat who spent most of his career outside of Canada.  Thorne just decided that another fake refugee gets to stay because we did work hard enough to keep him out.

The Federal Court has quashed the refusal of an Afghan immigration applicant because the officer’s analysis was “largely copied verbatim” from the first refusal by another colleague against the same man.

So, two people found the same reason to reject the same guy, but he gets to stay because the immigration officials didn’t work hard enough on the paperwork.  I don’t know about you, but I have a few questions.

1. What makes Thorne believe anyone chooses government employment because they want to work hard? If the immigration standard is that bureaucrats must work hard then we are doomed.  We may as well stop pretending border security is even a thing.
2. Why did this guy even get a second chance? He is not a Canadian citizen.  We can refuse him entry for any reason.  Where did he get the “right” to question anything that goes on inside another country?
3. How did a man from a culture where men rape anything that moves, male or female, get a third chance in front of a judge after already being declined twice? Is Canada short of potential rapists?

I often ask if the destructive things a politician or bureaucrat does are from of stupidity or evil.  Carney is not stupid.  He is most definitely evil and the longer this goes on the more apparent it is that he did not just come to steal.  Theft is just a fringe benefit.  The real goal is the continued destruction of a once great country.

Governments can do the wrong thing for a very long time before the effects are too large to hide.  That is where Canada is now.

Canada has tumbled nine places down the international economic openness index within just one year, according to a newly released report.

The inevitable fall has started.  Carneys did not come to stop it.  He came back to Canada to accelerate the fall by ensuring our borders and public treasury stays open.  Maple Maoists believe Carney will save Canada when he only returned home to deliver the coup de grâce.  He is just taking his plunder before that happens.
